At his rally in Anchorage, Alaska Donald Trump took the stage and wrecked the Alaska RINO, Republican in name only, Senator Lisa Murkowski.
The rally was held to support Republican candidates and particularly Sarah Palin as she is running in a special election to replace the late Don Young for the rest of his term.
During his speech Trump took aim at Senator Murkowski who is currently in a tough GOP primary race with Kelly Tshibaka who is endorsed by Trump.
“She’s a total creature of the Washington swamp but much worse than that and a tool of a corrupt establishment, the likes of which we’ve never seen. The fake news media loves her,” Trump said during the rally.
Urging voters to rid Alaska of the RINO Trump said, “This is your precious chance to dump the horrific RINO Senator Lisa Murkowski, who’s worse than a Democrat. She’s worse than a Democrat.”
To show his support for the former Republican Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin Trump said “She will be a true warrior for your state and for the country.”
In response Palin said “Sir, we need you back. Four more years. Four more years.” Palin continued “And President Trump, you are home.”
The Conservative Brief reported on the GOP primary saying:
A new poll recently found that Tshibaka — who won the endorsement of the Alaskan Republican Party and scored Trump’s endorsement — is leading Murkowski heading into the August 16 GOP primary.
Alaska uses a ranked-choice voting system, meaning that voters get to rank the candidates in order of their preference. In each round, the candidate with the fewest number of votes is eliminated until a candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote. Primaries in Alaska are also non-partisan.
As the Alaska primary approaches Tshibaka leads the race with hopes to rid the state of the RINO that is Lisa Murkowski.
