Wyoming Republican Congresswoman, Rep. Liz Cheney, one of the only two Republicans on Nancy Pelosi’s January 6th Select Committee, and one of the very few long-time anti-Trump Republicans in Congress is now falling behind in GOP Primary polls by double digits.
Cheney’s Republican challenger, House candidate Harriet Hageman is now an “overwhelming favorite” to oust the RINO lawmaker in Wyoming according to Fabrizio, Lee & Associates polling from earlier this week.
In this poll, Hageman has an overwhelming 56% support from primary voters while Cheney has just 28% support from primary voters.
This 28-point lead increased drastically in December of last year when Hageman had a small 8-point lead over Cheney. And Cheney had already spent millions on her re-election campaign.
“Harriet Hageman is now the overwhelming favorite to remove Liz Cheney from Congress and give Wyomingites a real conservative voice in Congress who will represent them and their interests,” the pollster stated.
This poll found that Hageman is favored by a 2-to-1 margin and Cheney is overwhelmingly disliked by Republican Primary votes in her at-large district. The poll found that over 58% of the primary voter base views Hageman in a positive light while only 29% do not and support the RINO congresswoman.
Meanwhile, Cheney is looking at more bad news as her favorability rating is taking a massive toll and has dropped from -40% all the way to -47% where a massive 73% of primary voters consider her “unfavorable” and a whopping 66% consider her “extremely unfavorable”
The poll also found that “A huge 71% majority say they will vote against her, including 66% who will definitely vote against Cheney no matter who she runs against,” the pollster wrote. “With only 26% say they will definitely or probably vote for Cheney, she has hit her ceiling on the ballot.” In the August 16 primary.
“Furthermore, Hageman has successfully captured the bulk of these anti-Cheney voters by winning over undecideds and some Bouchard voters over the past six months, leaving little doubt as to who will win this race,” the poll’s literature adds.
A straw poll conducted by the Wyoming Republican State Central Committee back in January via secret ballot found that Hogeman had a 53-point victory against Cheney.
As per the fate of Cheney’s Republican colleague on the J6 committee, Illinois congressman Rep. Adam Kinzinger had already announced back in October that he won’t be seeking re-election in the upcoming November mid-terms.
