Fox News is killing the ratings on television this year, and Jesse Watters hosts two of the network’s top shows.
The most-watched cable news show last week was the afternoon show “The Five.” Jesse is one of the five co-hosts and has a significant role in attracting viewers.
AdWeek reported, “Fox News Channel was the most-watched basic cable network in total day and the third most-watched in primetime. The cable news powerhouse also averaged more total primetime viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined for the 45th consecutive week.
“According to Nielsen live plus same day data, Fox News averaged 2.29 million total viewers in primetime this past week, No. 3 behind the networks broadcasting the NBA and NHL playoffs TNT and ESPN and +3% from what the network averaged in the daypart the previous week. Fox News also averaged 350,000 adults 25-54 in primetime, which is up +6% from the week prior and No. 3 behind playoffs-carrying TNT 1.335 million, and ESPN 1.09 million,” the report added.
It continued, “The Five was the most watched show of the week, both in total viewers 3.19 million and among adults 25 -54 469,000. Tucker Carlson Tonight came in second in average total viewers 2.97 million, followed by Jesse Watters Primetime at No. 3 2.53 million viewers at 9 p.m., Hannity at No. 4 2.46 million at 7 p.m., and Special Report with Bret Baier 2.285 million viewers at 6 p.m. rounding out the five most watched.”
Watters has his show in third place among the network, reeling in a bigger audience than hall of fame anchors Laura Ingram and Sean Hannity.
In May of 2022, “The Five” was the most-watched cable news show, averaging almost 3.28 million viewers in the 5 p.m. slot.
Watters has had incredible success reaching the likes of young adult viewers. In addition, his stories pressure other media outlets to counter the report for the vast amount of attention the rising Fox News Host puts out every weeknight.
The political humor makes the audience curious about the gravity the mainstream media tries to feed Americans. “Joe is fighting inflation, and inflation is winning,” Jesse said on his show earlier this week.
