Former Vice President Mike Pence is dropping hints of his interest in announcing a Presidential run based on his recent actions. He is delivering high-profile speeches in early nominating states, recently, he has publicly spoken against President Trump’s questioning of the voter frauds in 2020 elections, and recently went on to endorse Brian Kemp in the Republican Primary in Georgia, who was running against Trump-endorsed candidate, David Perdue.
As several reliable reports point out, both President Trump and VP Pence haven’t spoken in a long time, they carried out a “proxy war” in Georgia.
A Trump spokesperson recently BLASTED Mike Pence for going against President Trump’s endorsement, in Georgia GOP Primary.
“Mike Pence was set to lose a governor’s race in 2016 before he was plucked up and his political career was salvaged,” Taylor Budowich, spokesperson for the former President told the New York Times. “Now, desperate to chase his lost relevance, Pence is parachuting into races, hoping someone is paying attention. The reality is, President Trump is already 82-3 with his endorsements, and there’s nothing stopping him from saving America in 2022 and beyond.” He added.
Several reliable sources are claiming that Pence is planning a run for 2024 presidential run, even if President Trump is on the ballot, Pence would most likely challenge his former boss in the 2024 elections.
“We’ll go where we’re called,” he said, referring to prayer. “That’s the way Karen and I have always approached these things.” He added in response to a question if there would be a potential 2024 re-election run.
The Times reports, “Recalling the gratitude he gets from resisting Mr. Trump’s demands that he block Congress from affirming President Biden’s victory, he said: “I have been very moved traveling around the country how much people have made a point to express appreciation, it has been very humbling to me.” Yet in the same interview, he recalled spending “five years in the foxhole” with Mr. Trump, noting that he was “incredibly proud of the record,” before giving a dinner speech trumpeting the “Trump-Pence” administration multiple times.”
